DEIB Foundations Learning Pathway

Our DEIB Foundations Learning Pathway
is designed for teams and organizations seeking foundational understandings in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

In four sessions, participants gain a historical understanding of DEIB, as well as foundations in cultural reflexivity and competency, allyship, and creating impactful interventions at work and beyond.

DEIB Foundations Learning Pathway

  • Participants will gain an understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging (DEIB) and its value through an introduction to the business case, including by identifying the different ways that DEIB work drives productivity, innovation, and profit. This first module will also introduce participants to how DEIB can help organizations achieve wider business goals.

  • Participants will gain knowledge of culture and of the ways in which culturally influenced beliefs and values shape unconscious biases as well as exclusive and inclusive behaviors. Training provides activities to grow self-awareness over our own culture and to develop cultural competence skills that enable participants to mitigate biases and further their understanding and valuing of differences.

  • Participants are provided with information to help them better recognize opportunities for allyship that may occur at individual, interpersonal or team, and organizational levels. They will also be guided in methods for applying the knowledge, skills, and strategies from previous trainings to engage in more meaningful allyship practice, including in communication.

  • The final session focuses on methods for gaining additional skills in interpersonal communication, cultural competence, and accountability that will help to create meaningful change. Participants will be guided in methods for applying new material, combined with the knowledge, skills, and strategies from previous sessions to be active agents in creating cultures of belonging.
